Machu Picchu increases its capacity and will receive up to 5,600 visitors daily

The decision was made in conjunction with the authorities of the regional government of Cusco and seeks to strengthen the economy in the area.

The Regional Government of Cusco, together with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, approved to expand the capacity for tourists to the Inca citadel. In this way, of the 4,044 people allowed per day, 5,600 daily visitors will now be able to enter.. The proposal was presented during the fifth Ordinary Session of the Steering Committee of the Management Unit of the Historical Sanctuary of Machupicchu (UGM) held on November 30.
