The Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreraspointed out that a consensus has been reached on the initiative despite hundreds of parliamentary requests to expand the allocations to their respective regions.
“We have made a filter, and we have been able to reach a consensus, and we are now reviewing omissions that have been identified in the early morning (…) It is a complex law, there have been several days of hard work until dawn. I estimate that the budget law should be posted in a short time.“he mentioned to the press.
Likewise, José Jerí, president of the Congressional Budget Commission, maintained that unlike previous legislatures, the debate has been brought forward and The public budget bill “would be approved today (Wednesday, November 29).”
“The Budget Commission is 99.9% ready. Unlike other years, this year’s budget debates have been brought forward and we are not on the last day of rushing to be able to approve anything (…) There are several expectations that the cash is adding up. Finally, we are seeing the final sum and it will surely exceed 241 billion soles,” he noted.
