Fonavistas that did not charge anything will head the return list, according to the MEF

The head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Alex Contreras, confirmed yesterday that the return of contributions to the fonavistas It will start before Christmas, focused on those who have not received anything until now. The tentative date is December 14 of this year.

“We have coordinated with the (ad hoc) commission, the Fonavistas should start collecting on December 14. Priority will be given to those Fonavista groups that have not received anything“Those who have collected something in February and March are probably collecting their additional fee,” Contreras explained on a local radio station.

However, the president of the aforementioned working group, Luis Luzuriaga, told this medium that they do not agree with the payment being focused on those who have not received anything before, since it would only cover a maximum of 50,000 people, an amount minimal.

He recalled that just a couple of weeks ago the minister implied that all Fonavistas would receive something for Christmas and now they have that expectation. Therefore, the position that they will continue to defend is that, of the almost 2 million former contributors, payment begins with 1.2 million.

“This goes against the norm approved in 2021 (law 31454), in the midst of a pandemic, which says that the return must be immediate and effective because it is a vulnerable older adult population,” he noted.

Regarding the regulations of Law 31928, which allows partial payments, this has been referred to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), but has not yet reached the MEF office for approvalas reported by the Technical Secretariat of the ad hoc commission. While more than two weeks have passed since the Minister of Economy said that he would take the green light for this document.

It should be noted that the ad hoc commission has S/6,380 million supported by accounting documents, of this amount, there is S/2,300 million in cash to begin the return, plus the S/1,300 million paid in 2015, S/ 3.6 billion in total, Luzuriaga explained.

While the amounts to be returned in December range between S/40 to S/6,680.

Commission meets Thursday

The ad hoc commission will have its next session this Thursday the 30th to define the certificate of recognition of contributions and rights (CERAD) and the dates of the following payment groups, among other topics, reported José Cortez, a member of this group.

“We call on the PCM to provide all the necessary resources to expedite the return to all Fonavistas on the following dates,” he said.
