From time to time, the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) puts new S/1 coins into circulation. The BCRP dedicated another coin for the centenary of the National Higher Autonomous School of Fine Arts of Peru. Like its similar ones, it is made of silver and was minted in 2018. Currently, it is not available. Its cost, like the others, is S/147.

What was the last currency issued by the BCRP?
The Central Reserve Bank of Peru announced that the S/1 coin allusive to José de la Mar y Cortázar was put into circulation. This is part of the eighth coin of the numismatic series ‘Builders of the Bicentennial Republic 1821-2021’.
