The bullfighting fair August 2023which took place from October 29 to November 12, recorded S/572,296.58 of total income in the 30 points of sale that operated on the dates of the event, reported the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat).
According to Sunat, on each of the days of the fair, a team of seven notary supervisors from said institution verified the registration in the R.U.C. and the issuance of payment receipts from the concessionaires installed within the aforementioned Plaza and dedicated to the sale of food, beverages and liquor, candy, jewelry, clothing, hats and even taxi service.
As a result of the controls carried out by the Tax Administration’s inspection team, it was determined that the food marketings by the seven authorized sales points was ranked first in terms of income, with S/364,703.99, followed by the marketing of drinks and liquors (S/194,167.80) with 16 establishments.
It was also detailed that the four premises dedicated to selling hats recorded income of S/7,875, while the only establishment that sold clothes achieved sales of S/3,643.79. In all cases the verifications were carried out on three of the four dates of the fair.
The Sunat indicated that it will continue to carry out controls on massive events, among which the fairs and concerts that are organized throughout the country stand out, to promote the formalization of taxpayers’ commercial activities and the issuance of payment receipts to clients.
“With this type of intervention, a projection can be made of the total sales made during the event, which allows estimating the income that verified taxpayers must declare. These controls are also carried out at concerts throughout the country,” he noted in a press release.
Finally, Sunat stressed that it is very important that attendees at massive events, such as the fair August 2023request proof of payment when purchasing a product, because this ensures that taxpayers declare all income and pay the corresponding taxes.
