The president of IPAE, Gonzalo Galdós, opened the event and highlighted the choice of the Imperial City as a commitment to promote decentralization and national development, incorporating the challenges and opportunities of the various regions of the country in the public and private agenda.

“During these days, we are going to share ideas, capabilities, experiences and strategies with the purpose of resuming the path of real developmentwith a clear reduction in the poverty”, he mentioned.

The president of IPAE urged businessmen to assume a leading role in the country’s economic direction and to actively participate in the political, academic and social debate. Furthermore, he highlighted that this edition of CADE seeks to reestablish open and transparent dialogue with the Government.

Galdós also called for reducing the deficit in the Public Management which translates into low budget execution and poor provision of public services, affecting the most vulnerable populations.

The Executive also highlighted that last year private investment generated 2.1 million direct and indirect jobs in the country.

Finally, emphasized the importance of investment in infrastructure as a fundamental pillar for economic growth and international competitiveness. He highlighted that the gap in this sector reaches US$159 billion.

For its part, Juan Fernando Correa, president of CADE Executives 2023, recognized that the real challenge for businessmen to restore trust lies in understanding the reality that Peruvians face. He pointed out that this is not limited to the discussions in the forum or the economic situation that is presented, but rather how the majority of the population perceives the entrepreneurship.

“The business world is not well regarded for the majority of the Peruvian population. “It is perceived as indolent, as distant and blind,” he noted. He stressed that the return to confidence and growth implies reconnecting with the population.
