- Price of the dollar today in Peru: what is the exchange rate for this Monday, November 13?
- If I contribute to the ONP and die, how much money should my family receive as a pension?
In the recent edition of ‘Clear and direct’, Augusto Alvarez Rodrich interviewed Jesus Salazar Nishipresident of the National Society of Industries, to talk about the new bill that has been proposed together with the spokesperson for Somos Perú, José Jerí, to enhance the national industry and create a “vision of sustained development for the country.”
In that sense, Salazar Nishi emphasized that for 11 months the manufacturing industry has been consecutively negative and therefore highlighted the importance of a strategic plan for said sector to be a great driver of the economy.
Likewise, he mentioned that In Peru there is a kind of ‘two worlds’ in parallel: the formal and the informal. In that sense, he questioned whether the measures that the Government establishes are designed for the formal sector.when it is well known that practically the majority of the population works informally.
“The informal exists because there is no advantage to being formal in Peru. Formality is seen as an economic disadvantage (…) Peru, in general, does not have a direction, a growth path. We wait every five years to see if someone enlightened with a vision appears.. That is the problem of our country, by not having a long-term vision of development, any cabinet will do what it can do well. I believe that Peru needs to define its growth path,” he indicated.
