As explained by the MTPE minister during the press conference held at the Government Palace, this economic benefit seeks to ensure that students from universities and technical institutes complete their careers satisfactorily.

What did the Minister of Labor say about student loans?

According to the statements of the Minister of Labor, Daniel Maurate, in our country there are close to 340,000 young people who complete secondary school and do not continue their higher education. To address this situation, the Executive Branch would allocate a loan to facilitate financing at a private or public university or technological institutes.

“In Peru there are around 340,000 young people who finish school and do not study anything. Only 25% of them access higher education and, among the reasons why the remaining 75% cannot pursue higher education, economic reasons stand out,” Maurate explained during the press conference of the ministers of State.

To meet this objective, he indicated that the reports from the Ponte en Carrera observatory will be taken into account, which will be relaunched before the end of 2023. “We are going to prioritize universities that have a high return, as well as take into account labor demand and, to do this, we will analyze the data and information that this important tool will provide us,” he said.

So they have asked us to evaluate the creation of an institute for technical training. We will soon be informing what it consists of. and how we are going to finance this great institute,” he explained.
