SBS declares 8 savings and credit cooperatives nationwide in dissolution

The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) declared this Monday the dissolution of 8 savings and credit cooperatives not authorized to raise resources from the public (COOPAC) at the national level.

These are Solcoop Ltda. (Lima), Andina (Huarochirí – Lima), Confia Emprendedora Ltda. (Lima), Coopera Ltda. (Lima), Finance Support for the Entrepreneur of Peru (Lima), Ipemec Ltda. (Lima), San Isidro de Pachacamac (Pachacámca – Lima), and San Expedito Ltda (Lima).

According to SBS, all of them were due to inactivity, according to the fundamentals that govern the cooperative system. In this way, it was resolved to “exclude them from the National Registry of Savings and Credit Cooperatives Not Authorized to Raise Resources from the Public.”

From now on, it is prohibited to initiate judicial or administrative proceedings against these cooperatives for the collection of debts owed to them, to pursue the execution of judicial resolutions issued against them, or to constitute liens on any of their assets to guarantee their obligations.

Nor may payments, advances or compensation be made, or obligations assumed on her behalf, with the funds or assets that belong to her and are in the possession of third parties, as well as constitute a precautionary measure against her assets.

The SBS will be responsible for appointing, for each of them, temporary administrators who will have the objective of taking immediate possession of all of its assets, preparing a statement of financial situation and continuing the actions for an effective and timely recovery of the credits. granted, among others.
