Some people have doubts about whether they are up to date with their payments to the National Customs Superintendence and Tax Administration (Sunat) or if they forgot to make a payment, either due to carelessness, ignorance or financial problems. To resolve this situation, the State entity in charge of collecting taxes in our country has enabled a service that allows citizens to consult their debts.

What are the requirements to know a debt in Sunat?

If you are registered in the Single Taxpayer Registry (RUC) and want to find out the debts you have before the Sunat, you can consult the amounts pending payment by meeting these requirements:

  • DNI or RUC.
  • Sol Key. If you don’t have one, you can create a new one.
  • If you are a third party, you must have a power of attorney with a notarized signature or authenticated by a Sunat notary that authorizes the procedure.

Steps to know if I have a debt in Sunat

  • Enter the Sunat web portal with your Sol Key or DNI.
  • Click on ‘review my debts’.
  • Then, select the ‘values ​​pending payment’ option, click on ‘values’ and finally, ‘query values ​​pending payment’.
  • Complete the information for the period you wish to consult, which must be a maximum of 6 months, in ‘year and month’ format or per document, entering the value number.
  • Click ‘consult’ and the details of the pending payments in the Sunat will appear.
  • Remember that you can export the information to an Excel file, and save it on your computer or send it to your email.

What to do if I cannot pay taxes to Sunat?

The National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration has an option for those people who cannot make the payments corresponding to tax debts. It is about postponing or dividing them so that these obligations can be met later.

How can I pay taxes without my Sol Clef?

Sunat has a service available that allows individuals to pay taxes without having to go to a bank in person. Below, learn how to do it in a practical way without having to use the Sol Clef:

  • Enter ‘payment without Clave Sol’ or click on THIS LINK.
  • Then, select the type of document and enter your DNI number.
  • Next, write your email that must be validated by Sunat.
