BanEcuador signed two agreements, one with the prefecture of Santa Elena and the other with the prefecture of Guayas, to provide technical support, facilitate access to credit and strengthen productive projects, mainly in rural areas.

The contracts were signed by Fernando Chiang Espinoza, General Manager of BanEcuador, Mauricio Salem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Bank, as an honorary witness, and Marcela Aguiñaga, Prefect of Guayas and José Daniel Villao, Prefect of Santa Elena.

BanEcuador resumed 1×30 loans after a two-month break and without guarantee that these and new services will continue in the next government

The first contract signed in the province of Santa Elena includes technical support as a tool for better planning and optimization of productive projects.

And another agreement with the prefecture of Guayas will allow the Solidarity Agricultural Bonus, established by the prefecture and aimed at producers who have crop or harvest losses caused by the El Niño phenomenon, to be paid out through BanEcuador using its logistics capacity in the country’s 24 provinces.

These alliances will bring BanEcuador’s services closer to citizens, promote financial inclusion and improve the living conditions of producers and entrepreneurs, with an emphasis on the female population, thanks to better economic planning and money management.

“Our main focus is women, 80% of the loans delivered here in the province of Santa Elena are women from Ecuador,” said Salem.
