The Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, reported that the bill to simplify the tax regime for MSEs will be ready next November.
During the awarding of the Enlace 500 kV Huánuco-Tocache-Celendín-Trujillo and Enlace 500 kV Celendín-Piura projects, in charge of Proinversión, the head of the MEF said that his management has been characterized by designing “long-term measures” for the benefit of the population.
“We have sent two important projects [al Congreso]: the pension law and the contracting law. The third project, with a high impact in the long term, is the one referring to the simplification of tax regimes.”
Previously, the Congressional Economy Commission rejected this modification as part of the list of powers requested by the Executive to reactivate the country’s growth engines. Now, the MEF will seek to promote simplification through a bill.
“It will be ready, as we promised, in the last quarter of this year. I believe that by November we will be sending the proposal,” he said.
The objective is to modify the Law of the New Simplified Single Regime (NRUS) so that it only remains with the General Regime. In this way, the Special Income Tax Regime (RER) and the Mype Tax Regime (RMT) are eliminated.
