The Government has not planned the delivery of a focused bonus to the most vulnerable familiesIt is in the face of the complicated economic situation that the country faces due to the recession and the inflation persistent, factors that have reduced the purchasing power of the population.

According to Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, although there are some resources in the contingency reserve, there are no plans to grant a subsidy. “We have not contemplated any additional targeted bonus like those that occurred during the pandemic or until 2021.“, he commented in an interview with The Republic.

However, he stressed that with these resources it is considered to promote some temporary employment programs promoted by the Executive. “We do have room to finance some measures, such as, for example, reinforce temporary employment programs for some activities in November and December”he highlighted.

Likewise, Contreras emphasized that now the Government’s priority is to execute the available resources. “In general, I think the task is rather different at this moment. It is executing the resources. In Con Punch Peru, S/6,000 (million) have been executed. With the supplementary credit we would have between S/11,000 and S/12,000 million to be executed in November and December,” he commented.
