He Executive power concluded the appointment of José Luis Carlos Balta Chirinos as a member of the board of directors Perupetro, on behalf of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem). In the Ministerial Resolution No. 427-2023-MINEM/DMpublished today in El Peruano, we also thank him for the services provided.

The official had been appointed as part of the board on August 4 of this year, through Ministerial Resolution No. 318-2023-MINEM/DM.

The standard also indicates that it is necessary to conclude the designation based on Memorandum No. 009-2023-MINEM/DM of the Ministerial Office and Report No. 1083-2023-MINEM/OGAJ of the General Office of Legal Advice.

It should be noted that the Company’s Organization and Functions Law establishes that its board of directors must be made up of five members; whose president is appointed by Supreme Resolution and the remaining four members by Ministerial Resolution.

The rule is endorsed by the head of Minem, Oscar Vera Gargurevich.
