European clothing chain Inside has opened its second store in Ecuador, the country it chose as its first destination in Latin America for its expansion. The opening of the new warehouse, in which $200,000 was invested, took place on September 22. This new store is located in Condado Shopping in Quito. Meanwhile, the first store opened in Río Centro in Quito in 2022.
Fernanda Dassum, owner of Inside Ecuador, explains that the brand chose that country as the first destination in Latin America to expand its market, as the public welcomes European fashion. In addition, he states, a significant investment is planned to enable the expansion of several stores in Ecuador.
Dassum also recalled that the first Inside store in the world opened its doors in Barcelona in 2004, and a year later they already had more than 30 stores. Currently, the brand has more than 300 stores in various countries, such as Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. He also commented that Inside is a recognized European brand dedicated to the sale of clothing, footwear and accessories for men and women, represented by Liwe Española SA, a company that started in 1960 as a family dream, and in just 13 years has become a benchmark in the textile sector in Region of Murcia, Spain.
In addition, the businesswoman explained that the goal of the brand is to share the passion for fashion and the desire to bring the latest news and trends to its audience, in the shortest time and at the best prices. Inside’s collections are intended for a young, modern and active audience, between the ages of 14 and 35. “The brand strives to keep up with the latest trends and offer quality products that reflect the lifestyle of its customers,” he said.
He makes sure the prices are affordable, with basic clothing items like T-shirts starting at $7.99. He explains that consumers have welcomed the range of belts, earrings, wallets and shoes.
When asked about the production of the clothes, she explained that the design is European and it is made in Asia. However, the production process is being adapted to European standards of fair trade and sustainable practices, he said.
In addition, Inside offers its consumers the option of virtual shopping for clothing. When customers choose to purchase online, there is an additional charge that, depending on location, can vary from $3.50. There are 1,800 direct associates worldwide, spread across headquarters, logistics warehouses and various retail stores. 30 people are currently employed in Ecuador, including those in the new store.
