The Society of Hotels of Peru (SHP) He pointed out that the decision to sell all tickets to the Machu Picchu citadel through a digital platform will be beneficial for tourism development.
Through a press release, the SPH said it supported the decision of the Peruvian Government, through the Ministry of Culture (Mincul), as it considered that “it will significantly improve the visitor’s experience.”
To date, Peru is one of the few countries in the world whose tourist flow is below 2019 levels, therefore efforts need to be made to improve the experience of the tourists who visit us.
In this sense, the organization highlighted that 100% virtual ticket sales are essential to improve the experience of those who visit Machu Picchu and will contribute to recovering the image of our country as a tourist destination.
“In the world, all tourist attractions are sold through virtual platforms, making them more competitive. Let’s move forward!”, reported the SPH.
It should be noted that, in recent days, some unions have announced marches and mobilizations against the sale of 100% virtual tickets to Machu Picchu.
