Petroecuador reported this Sunday, October 22, that the Sacha field, in block 60, located in the province of Orellana, reached a production peak of 76,005 barrels of oil per day (bppd).
Reinaldo Armijos Del Hierro, general director(s) of the state oil company, highlighted the figure achieved. “This increase in production allows us to continue contributing to the country’s economic growth and development,” he added.
Campo Sacha increased daily production and reached 72,808 barrels of crude oil on June 15
According to Petroecuador, in order to achieve this peak production, the technical team in charge of this block applied strategies such as:
Currently, two wells and four overhaul wells are working on the Sacha field, and there are 254 production wells. Sacha has been in production for more than 50 years and has an average API grade of 24.9 crude oil, with estimated reserves of approximately 350 million barrels of oil.

To date, EP Petroecuador’s total production is 406,210 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
