The Peruvian Association of Consumers and Users (ASPEC) made a public call for more than 5,200 relatives of deceased policyholders, who have not yet received the pandemic funeral benefit, to go to the Banco de la Nación as soon as possible to make said payment.
The organization reminded the mourners that they only have until October 31. “If they don’t do it, the budgeted money will inevitably be returned to the Ministry of Economy,” she stressed.
Likewise, ASPEC recalled that, since the end of last August, it was announced that there were more than 5,900 accredited people nationwide who had the right to collect this benefit, but the deadline has already expired and only 657 people have done so.
“The only thing the beneficiaries have to do is go to the Banco de la Nación closest to their home and show their ID at the window to be able to collect. That’s all,” he mentioned.
However, he recommended that they should first verify if they are on the list of beneficiaries by calling Toll-Free Line 113, option 4, writing to WhatsApp SIS 941986682.
