The deadline for the delivery of envelope 1 on the Campo Amistad tender proposal has been changed again, this time the deadline that was scheduled for this Thursday, October 19, has been moved to the following November 6. This was reported by the EP Petroecuador this Thursday through a statement.

The first change to the schedule was in mid-September when Petroecuador reported that there had been changes to the bidding calendar and that the ongoing bidding had been extended by one week. And that after the call for tenders on August 9. The reasons for the changes, according to Petroecuador, were that several companies requested an extension of the deadline for the submission of bids during the question and answer phase.

In the meantime, on this second occasion, the state indicated that the schedule change was made at the request of companies registered in the pre-contractual procedure for contracting certain services with financing from the contractor for carrying out drilling activities and filling wells; and the construction and expansion of the necessary facilities in the area of ​​activity, within block 6, which is managed by EP Petroecuador for the production of natural gas.

One of the companies that applied for the new schedule on October 17 is Green Power, a company that is part of the Basque business conglomerate in Spain, Grupo Centauro. The company was concerned about the lack of clarity that exists at the moment on whether the Campo Amistad infrastructure will be used for the supposed import of gas (six months) in order to combat the dry season.

In the meantime, the state-owned company clarified: “This update aims to give interested companies more time to analyze all available information and present the most favorable offers, with a guarantee of process transparency, for the benefit of both the state and the participating companies. “.
