More than 60,000 high school graduates applied for a place in the first application for admission to public universities between October 5 and 7.

This is part of the second academic period, which corresponds to the year 2023, for public institutes and conservatories. In addition, for five public universities and polytechnic schools with support in the enrollment process of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Senescyt).

The universities are: State of the South of ManabĂ­, Technical of Babahoyo, Technical Luis Vargas Torres of Esmeraldas, National and Central Polytechnic School of Ecuador. These last two are located in Quito.

Enrollment is the next step within the second admission period to universities in 2023

With the national enrollment that was in effect from July 17 to 30, the second academic period of access to universities began. The next step was the evaluation.

Senescyt reported that there were a total of 156,682 applicants, while 110,777 participated in the evaluation.

From October 5 to 7, 63,848 people applied and had the opportunity to freely and voluntarily choose the professions they were interested in, with the possibility of choosing a maximum of three, the institution stated.

On October 14 and 15, the first acceptance of the quota took place, and 17,957 people accepted it.

On October 21 and 22, a second application will be made available in which the remaining offer of places from the first stage of application, allocation and acceptance of places will be made available.
