Niubizdigital platform for business collections, has introduced BIM, a new electronic wallet aimed at people without a bank account. This will allow interoperable transfers to be made with other electronic wallets, including Yape and Plin.
With this incorporation, the company plans to carry out 2.5 million transactions in the first 12 months, meeting the needs of 1.9 million users.
“Niubiz is a key player in strengthening financial inclusion. Today we open the doors to the first Electronic Money Issuing Company (EEDE) as a key enabler in the country’s payment processing, incorporating the least banked sectors of Peru such as small merchants, warehouse owners and distributors, so that they can continue consolidating and growing their businesses,” said Melissa Pelosi, Chief Business Officer Domain Processing at Niubiz.
It should be noted that so far in 2023, Niubiz has processed 350 million interoperable transactions, including 148 million between Yape and Plin.
With this initiative, another company joins interoperability, which for its second phase hopes to add more entities such as municipal banks and other financial entities.
