Price of lemon remains around S/9 per kilogram in wholesalers

He Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) reported that this Thursday, October 5, 2023the supply of products to the wholesale markets of Lima exceeded 10,000 tons, with various offers on vegetables, fruits and others.

In this sense, he explained that in the Great Wholesale Market of Lima (GMML) The subtle lemon in a bag was offered at S/8.50 per kilogram and the lemon in a box at S/9.24 per kilogram.

In the case of GMML, the entry of 7,985 tons of products was recorded, among legumes, vegetables and tubers, a figure slightly lower by 2.6% compared to the last four Thursdays. Likewise, 2,119 tons of potatoes of various varieties were registered.

The main wholesale offers this morning were: yellow sweet potato at S/0.55 kilogram; yungay potato at S/0.89 soles per kilogram; purple sweet potato at S/0.98 per kilogram; yellow cassava at S/1.05 kilogram; Andean black potato at S/1.16 kilogram; mountain green bean at S/1.25 kilogram; Creole carrot at S/1.33 kilogram; red head onion at S/1.50 kilogram, among others.

Meanwhile, in the Fruit Market No. 2 of La Victoria, the entry of 2,628 tons of different fruits was recorded. Today’s main offers are: the Valencia orange at S/0.94 kilogram; banana cake at S/1.04 kilogram; watermelon at S/1.13 kilogram; Creole pineapple at S/1.29 kilogram; coquito melon at S/1.38 soles per kilogram; papaya at S/1.71 soles per kilogram, among others.

Likewise, the wholesale price of live chicken continues to be low, which today was sold between S/4.80 and S/ 4.60 per kilogram in the main distribution centers for live birds in the capital, while the wholesale price of the egg is priced between S/8.90 and S/8.20 per kilogram.
