In a short statement, published on Wednesday, October 4 at 8:18 p.m., on social networks, the Southern Regional Electric Power Company (EERSSA) announced that tonight there will be an interruption in the supply of electricity to several sectors of the concession area of that institution, including Loja, Zamora Chinchipe and Gualaquiza.

Cotopaxi Provincial Electric Company SA posted the same thing at 8:17 p.m. Through a post on his Facebook, he warned that it was an “unexpected power outage”.
He indicated that Cenace “requested the implementation of the National Interconnected System Load Relief Scheme.”
The affected sectors belong to Salcedo, La Maná and Pujilí, which will be without electricity for two hours. The company apologized to its customers.

Power outages were also confirmed in the area of influence of the Centrosur Electric Company, which covers the provinces of Azuay, Cañar and Morona Santiago.
