This Wednesday, October 4th at the Congressional Economic Commission Two bills will be supported that seek to authorize a seventh withdrawal of contributions in the AFP to mitigate the increase in the cost of living, considering that food inflation remains high.
According to the legislative agenda, projects 03585/2022-CR and 04190/2022-CR will be presented, which establish the free disposal of private pension funds from 2 UIT.
Likewise, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, will attend this working group to explain the impacts of the new withdrawal on the AFPs.
“The position of the MEF coincides with the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance and the BCRP. Continuing to unprotect retirees is nonsense. The withdrawals occurred in the context of a pandemic and now it is different“, he mentioned recently in dialogue with the press.
Likewise, Congresswoman Digna Calle pointed out in X (Twitter) that the Economy Commission has in its hands the possibility of giving millions to Peruvian families.
“It is time to listen to the population: Withdrawal of the 4UIT from the AFP!”, he stated.
