Government approves creation of Digital Single Window for mining

The purpose of the Standard is to promote actions to launch the platform, which will promote the development of mining activity.

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) has approved the start of the provisions for the implementation of a Digital Single Window for the Mining Sector – VUD MINEM. Thus, through Supreme Decree 017-2023-EM, published this Monday, October 2, the aim is to make possible and promote actions that allow streamlining the use of the new platform and promoting the development of mining activity.

What entities will make up the single window?

  • Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Institute – Ingemmet.
  • National Environmental Certification Service for Sustainable Investments – Senace.
  • National Superintendence of State Assets – SBN.
  • National Superintendence of Public Registries – Sunarp.
  • National Water Authority.
  • National Forestry and Wildlife Service – Serfor.
  • National Superintendency of Control of Security Services, Weapons, Ammunition and Explosives for Civil Use – Sucamec.
  • National Service of Natural Areas Protected by the State – Sernanp.

It should be noted that the Minem is the administrative entity responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of the Digital Single Window. In this sense, it will be empowered to convene the participating entities for the proper implementation and operation of the platform.
