The Government indicated that it complies with pending payments inherited from the previous Government. He stressed that his priority is the health of citizens.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) allocated $ 150 million to meet the suppliers of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) with regard to obligations that are pending and that were inherited from the previous Government.
The national government confirms that it will comply with the companies and institutions that provide services to the MSP, among which are dialyzers, clinics, hospitals, Guayaquil Charity Board, Society for the Fight Against Cancer (Solca).
The MEF is permanently coordinating with the MSP to advance, in the best way, in the fulfillment of these obligations, said that State portfolio.
According to the budget execution, published by the ministry, as of December 9 the expenses accrued by the central government in the budget reach $ 26,667 million; however, $ 25,374 million have actually been paid, that is, there is a difference of $ 1,283 million still unpaid. In any case, non-payment occurs above all in the items of current transfers and capital transfers. In currents, it refers, among others, to payments to the IESS.
On the other hand, regarding payments to suppliers, after payment, the items are almost on par, since there are $ 5,396 million of accrued expenses and $ 5,349 million canceled. A difference of $ 47 million.
For its part, the ministry said that one of the priorities of the government of President Guillermo Lasso is to guarantee the attention of health services to Ecuadorians.
