Thousands of members of the Pension Normalization Office (ONP) have been contributing for years with the conviction of accumulating a good fund for the time they have to retire. However, most do not know how much money they will receive depending on the amount of time they have worked. The ideal is for a person to contribute for 20 years so that he can receive a larger pension. We will tell you in detail what the amount is and if you can request your retirement pension for fewer years of contribution.

How much can I receive as a pension if I contributed for 20 years?

The amount of money you will receive after retirement will depend on the number of years you have contributed. The ONP suggests a minimum of 20 years, but if your contribution history is longer, then your pension will be higher.

Those who have contributed for 2 decades may receive a pension of S/500, but if someone has been contributing for a longer period of time then the retirement can reach S/839.

Proportional pension: how much pension will I receive if I contributed for 10 to 15 years?

Thanks to legislative decree No. 19990 you can request the special proportional retirement pension for ONP members over 65 years of age. The amount you will receive varies depending on the time of contributions:

  • 10 years and less than 15 years of contribution: you receive S/250 per month in a period of 12 times a year.
  • 15 years and less than 20 years of contribution: you receive S/350 per month in a period of 12 times a year.

The amounts will receive a 4% discount by EsSalud.
