Callao Anteport: what is this project about?
The Directorate of Infrastructure Management and Transportation Services of the MTC reported that in October the call will be held for the preparation of the technical file for the project Creation of the Callao Anteport and improvement of access roads to the port and Callao Anteport. This work seeks to organize the entry of trucks, decongest the surrounding avenues and provide transporters with a safer and more comfortable service.
In that sense, this project will house cargo vehicles that carry out operations within the port, while they wait for their service appointment to prevent them from waiting stopped on the nearby roads. In this way, logistics costs will be reduced and traffic congestion caused by the disorganized movement of public transport on Gambetta, Atalaya and Manco Cápac avenues will be alleviated.

Callao Anteport: where will it be located?
According to official information from the MTC, the Callao port will be located between Néstor Gambetta and Contralmirante Mora avenues. This project will have an electronic appointment system that will be linked to the one that already exists in port terminals with the objective of ensuring order and control when entering said places, according to what the MTC states on its official website.
