Telefónica del Perú will not be able to contract by the State for a period of 36 months. This, after being disqualified by the court of the State Procurement Supervisory Body (OSCE). This was made known by the company through an important fact communicated to the Superintendence of the Stock Market (SMV).
“In the opinion of the Company, this measure does not have adequate foundations to support it, which is why the legal actions to be taken are being evaluated in order to question the decision.“Telefónica stated.
This sanction does not affect the contracts signed by the telecommunications company with the public entities of the State Peruvian law that are currently in force, therefore, the Spanish company will be able to continue providing its services in accordance with the terms already agreed upon.
However, due to the OSCE sanction, Telefónica del Perú SAA will be prevented from participating in new projects with the Peruvian State.
