The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) appointed Carla Paola Sosa Vela as the new Vice Minister of Communications.
Through supreme resolution 021-2023-MTC, the incoming minister Raúl Pérez-Reyes places his former vice minister of Mype and Industry, in the Ministry of Production (Produce), in the position held by Patricia Carreño Ferre.
Precisely, before her appointment at Produce, Sosa had been working at the MTC as General Director of Telecommunications Programs and Projects. She now she’s back.
The lawyer also served in the past as general director of Electricity in the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem), in addition to other positions in the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), so she has a long and varied expertise in the public sector.
Sosa Vela is a lawyer with a professional degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, with more than twenty years of experience in the public sector.
He has master’s degrees in both Political Science and Regulation from the PUCP and the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC), respectively; as well as specialization courses in communications in Japan, Korea, Spain and the United States.
