The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) released the list of financial entities that are offering loans and managing your savings that are not authorized to do so. These are within informality and can entail a risk for their clients. This is according to article 11 of Law No. 26702, which indicates that any person or entity that intends to capture or receive money from third parties, in the form of a deposit, mutual or any other modality, needs authorization from the SBS.
What entities do not have permission from the SBS to collect your money?
- Margarite SAC – Emprende Margarite
- NGO Del Pacífico – Del Pacífico Microfinanzas
- Ayni Sacred Economy
- Sowing Project (Land and Water Production Company SAC)
- Cusco Cooperation Investments – ICC
- CAGSAN Perú SAC – Cagsan Perú
- Blue Capital
What applications are not allowed to make loans?
In addition, the SBS pointed out that there are applications that offer and transfer money loans, although not necessarily at the user’s request. These include high charges and interest and threaten users with informing all their contacts of their alleged debtor status. They are recommended not to download them because by doing so they can access all your stored information and use it to extort money from you.
