After almost two and a half years of rebranding, the Tryp by Wyndham Guayaquil hotel officially unveiled its renewed image this Thursday, September 14. The hotel is located on Joaquín José Orrantia Avenue, next to the Mall del Sol and not far from the most important tourist destinations in Guayaquil, said Hugo Rivera, the general manager of the hotel.

Tryp by Wyndham Guayaquil takes the place of Sonesta

The facility began operations in 2011 under the Sonesta brand, as part of a development promoted by the Nobis Consortium with an investment of $20 million; and, after a decade of operation, on April 1, 2021, the hotel was renamed Tryp by Wyndham Guayaquil.

The hotel meets the standards of the international brand from which it originates, the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts company, which has more than 9,000 hotels worldwide. Tryp by Wyndham Guayaquil is managed by Sixstar Hotels, a group with extensive experience in the hospitality industry.

As for the renovation, it was revealed that it represents 10% of the initial investment of the hotel and includes its 110 rooms, common areas, sauna, swimming pool, restaurant and event rooms, which today show a modern and functional design, inspired by current visitor requests. It also included the purchase of new operating assets specific to the hotel business, in order to provide a comprehensive experience of superior service and quality.

On the other hand, Tryp by Wyndham Guayaquil maintains continuous growth. In accommodation, there are 5% more occupied rooms compared to the first half of the previous year; while in their restaurants they recorded an increase of 25% in 2023.

“The goal of this investment is to make our business more productive. At the same time, we have developed a new gastronomic proposal, making a big difference in traditional hospitality. We provide our guests and clients with an ideal environment for recreation and entertainment,” said Rivera.
