The National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) reported that they made 107 inspection visits at different points of sale nationwide in order that the Bimbo brand marbled Bimbolete products, Bell’s brand panettone with raisins and fruits and Frito Lay brand Cheese Tris are not offered to the consumers.
The visits were made in supermarkets, main distributors and retail stores in eight districts of Lima and, in addition, in the 24 regions of the country to verify that manufacturers comply with the precautionary measure of the Consumer Protection Commission No. 3 of Indecopi, which ordered the cessation of the marketing of these products, since they contain trans fats. higher than those allowed by the current regulation (Supreme Decree 033-2016-SA).

The Indecopi inspectors traveled to the districts of Comas, San Juan de Lurigancho, Chorrillos, San Juan de Miraflores, Cercado de Lima, San Borja, San Isidro and Callao to verify that the products were not marketed.
