In three months, for example, The companies view the development of the economy, their sector, the hiring of personnel and their investments with pessimism, since they remain below the threshold of 50 points, as seen in the following table.
However, they expect expectations regarding the situation of their company and the demand for its products to be favorable (50 and 53 points, respectively). At 12 months, all the aforementioned indicators are in positive territory. The BCRP specifies that, of the 18 monthly indicators, only 7 are in the optimistic section.
Current situation of expectations
Unlike July, during August, the current situation of companies also briefly improved – although it remains in pessimistic territory.
Likewise, there was a variation of up to two points with respect to what they project for their businesses, production, demand in terms of expectations and purchase orders compared to last month (see table).
