Lawyer Daniel Maurate Romero was sworn in as the new head of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (PETM), instead of Fernando Varela Bohorquezwho remained in office since April 23 of this year.
Biography and resume of Daniel Maurate Romero
Maurate Romero, who had been serving as Minister of Justice and Human Rights, is a professional in Law, with master’s studies in Administration and Public Management. He has extensive experience in public administration and has received recognition and distinctions on behalf of the Nation for achievements obtained during his tenure in the public sector.
Previously, he served as Vice Minister of Employment Promotion and Labor Training and General Director of Control of Security Services, Control of Weapons, Ammunition and Explosives for Civil Use in the Ministry of Interior. He was also a senior member of the Huaura Superior Court of Justice.
In addition, the new head of the MTPE has studies on the Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Ortega y Gasset University Research Institute, attached to the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). He is a graduate of the Master’s Degree in Government and Public Management from the San Martin de Porres University.
