Movistar lost 2.90% and occupies 28.23% of the market (11.6 million); Entel with 22.82% (9.39 million); and Bitel with 18.52%, which is equivalent to 7.6 million.
Other companies such as Flash Mobile, Guinea Mobile, Suma Móvil and Dolphin Mobile together added 193,083 lines, which represents 0.47%.
“Peru is establishing itself as the second most competitive mobile market in South America. The distance between the largest and the smallest operators is barely 10%,” said Carlos Huamán, executive director of DN Consultores.
An element that would help the deployment of coverage is the proposal of the Ministry of Transport on the sharing of Active Infrastructure. “The operators will be able to sell in new geographical sites, without the need to deploy a network,” Huamán explained.
