He Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) reported that there are sufficient inventories of LPG stored in the Callao and Pisco Supply Plants and ships (domestic and imported) to guarantee “an autonomy of more than 6 days of supply in the local market.”
This, after the Maritime Authority, by Captaincy Resolution No. 200-2023/MGP/DGCG/CO, ordered the opening of the ports in Callao Bay from 08:00 on September 3.
“In this way, the ships that supply LPG in the Terminals are carrying out the respective LPG discharge,” Minem said.
It is expected that normal dispatch conditions will be restored throughout the supply chain in the coming days. Additionally, the New Talara Refinery has been serving the LPG market in the north of the country since last Friday, September 1.
Finally, the authority reiterated the recommendation to users to use the Osinergmin Easy tool, with which they can locate service stations that offer affordable prices.
“Minem confirms that it continues to work for the adequate development of the hydrocarbon industry with the aim of guaranteeing the continuous supply of fuels and with it energy security in the country, in accordance with the National Energy Policy of Peru,” he said.
