Given the increase in the price of lemons, the head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Alex Contreras, announced that his office has been coordinating with the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) new measures that help reduce the cost of this basic product of the family basket be moderated

“We are going to evaluate new measures in coordination with Midagri to see what else we can do to moderate some important prices,” Contreras Miranda said during the Cusco Invest forum.

The Minister of Economy stated that the new measures will be coordinated in the Minister council. Likewise, he indicated that he would be evaluating increasing the import of lemon so that the supply of this citrus can increase.

The proposal must be coordinated with Midagri. If we can import a little more (or) some incentive for production to return.
