Given the complicated panorama due to the slowdown in production, which especially affects mypes, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, indicated that they will inject more resources for their recovery.

The most important announcement was the rise from S/3,000 million to S/5,000 million of the funds in Impulso MyPerú, a program that was created to accompany and promote the financial inclusion of mypes with much more competitive rates.

“We had announced that it would be S/4,000 million, but we are going to increase it to S/5,000 million, given the significant demand. The proposal will be sent to the Council of Ministers, I estimate that in two weeks, ”he said.

It should be noted that interested mypes have until December 31 of this year. Those with a “normal” or “potentially troubled” credit rating qualify.

Promote more programs

Contreras announced that the financing lines of the Special Program to Support Mype will also be doubled (Promype), which will now take it to S/2,500 million.

With this extra allowance “will allow to continue facilitating” the availability of credits for mypes through microfinance institutions — that is, a municipal or rural savings bank, as well as financial institutions —.

For this, Contreras specified that the Banco de la Nación will be strengthened with S/400 million so that they continue supporting mypes in their adventure.

Another of the actions to be implemented will be the creation of an Inclusive Fund for Business Development (Fider) for up to S/50 million, with which the Inclusive Program for Rural Business Development (Prider) of the Development Bank of Peru (Cofide) will be financed. : here, the slogan is to benefit more than 50,000 Peruvians in rural areas.

Finally, it will improve with S/180 million the Fund Grow to expand its credits and guarantees, and also increase its offer of operators, including cooperatives not authorized to receive resources from the public, factoring companies and financial leasing.
