Exchange rate: dollar closed lower this Thursday, November 24, with S/3.8540

The exchange rate closed the session this Thursday, November 24, at S/ 3.8540, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP). In this way, the price of the dollar fell slightly by 0.026% compared to what was seen on Wednesday, when it stood at S/3.8550.

In the parallel market, the US currency was quoted at S/ 3,840 for the purchase and S/ 3,870 for the sale. Meanwhile, in the banking market it was located at S/ 3,934 for the purchase and S/ 3,970 for the sale at the windows of the Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP).

On the other hand, little trading flow was reported in the market due to the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. Therefore, only US$67 million was traded at an average price of S/3.8448. The BCRP did not intervene, reported Asvim Asencios, Currency Trader.

Also, the price of gold rose to a maximum level. This after the minutes of the FED indicated that the rate of rise in interest rates could slow down. For their part, copper prices rose, given market optimism due to greater support for the Chinese real estate sector, according to the Renta4 SAB report.
