The shortage continues liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Arequipa. On the morning of this Tuesday, August 22, Exitosa reported from the Chaskigas tap, located between Muñoz Najar and La Paz avenues in the city fence, that fuel is highly demanded these days. The staff working in the parking lot reported that the fuel is being supplied by tanker trucks in the afternoon, at approximately 2:00 pm, but, at night, there are queues of consumers, which causes a decrease in hydrocarbon the next morning.
The shortage of LPG began to be felt at the national level since last Thursday, August 17, due to maintenance at the company’s plant pluspetrol located in Pisco (Ica) and delays of import vessels through the Panama Canal. It should be noted that Pluspetrol supplies 70% of the national production of Petroleum liquid gas.
