Qatar Airways implements a new technique for transporting perishable products from Ecuador to the Middle East

Qatar Airways has implemented a new technique for transporting perishable products from Ecuador. It is about the “freshness of the new generation”, reported on Monday, August 21, from the Embassy of Ecuador in the State of Qatar.

The airline, which operates more than 150 routes on five continents, transports 285,000 tonnes of perishables worldwide, including roses, vegetables, fruit and seafood, via Qatar Airways Cargo.

The government has invited Qatar Airways to open a commercial route to Ecuador

This new methodology will consist of three phases: fresh care, fresh passive and fresh in advancewith which refrigerated transport, packaging, hygiene, reduction of storage hours will be improved, and as a result of the application of these phases, there will be “an opening for more Ecuadorian products, upon arrival much cooler and with better quality control”.

From Quito, products go to the Middle East. The frequency of flights to that destination is weekly and mainly roses, seafood and certain Ecuadorian vegetables are exported.
