The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) reported that, in order to combat the fight against corruption, it maintains the international certification ISO 37001:2016known as ‘ISO Anti-bribery‘, that implements the processes of prevention, detection and control of criminal conduct, in order to guarantee ethical, honest and transparent practices in administrative and technical management.
In 2021, the MVCS obtained the certification of the Global Certification Bureau (GCB) with a validity of three years. The ministry indicated that tAfter an exhaustive audit process on July 31 and August 1, 2023, GCB confirmed that the entity complies with the requirements established in the international standard, maintaining the certification of its Anti-Bribery Management System (SGAS) until July 2024.
The scope of this certification covers various areas of the entity, including processes in andl Comprehensive Neighborhood Improvement Program (PMIB), the Our Cities Program (PNC), the National Urban Sanitation Program (PNSU), the National Rural Sanitation Program (PNSR), the Safe Water Program for Lima and Callao (PASLC), the Family Housing Bonus (BFH) for Own Roof and the Improvement of Rural Housing. In addition, it covers support areas such as Acquisitions, Human Management, Finance, Institutional Image and Compliance.
“This result represents a great institutional effort that strengthens the commitment of the entity and its servers with the implementation of the integrity model and compliance with the MVCS Anti-Bribery Policy,” the ministry said in a press release.
He also recalled that On August 16, the official newspaper El Peruano published the Ministerial Resolution No. 368-2023-HOUSING, Policy to regulate the offer, acceptance, reception and return of gifts, courtesies, donations, attentions and invitations or other similar.
This regulation prohibits all MVCS servers from receiving gifts that may generate conflicts of interest. or that contradict the standards of integrity in the exercise of their functions.
The standard is mandatory for all MVCS servers and its Programs, at all levels and regardless of the labor, contractual or any other type of regime or modality they maintain, within the framework of the institutional Anti-Bribery Policy.
