The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested Eldar Nasrulayev, suspected of involvement in the explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala, until October 14, RBC reports citing the press service of the court.

Nasrulayev was charged with providing services that did not meet safety requirements and negligently caused the death of 35 people. He was delivered to Moscow from Dagestan earlier on August 17.

The investigation found that the suspect was filming boxes in the territory where warehouses and service stations were located – the place where the fire started. Nasrulayev had a fertilizer store, among which saltpeter was stored. According to one version of the UK, the explosion occurred due to “violation of the storage of agrochemicals with flammable characteristics.”

The explosion in Makhachkala occurred on 14 August. The fire started at a service station, then it spread to nearby buildings – a gas station and other buildings. The explosion damaged more than 400 buildings. As a result, 35 people died and more than a hundred were injured. 16 victims were evacuated to Moscow.
