This first payment to savers affected by the liquidation of the Caja Rural de Ahorro y Crédito Raíz includes natural persons with savings and fixed-term deposits, who do not have joint accounts or debts and who are identified by the entity.

Caja Raíz in liquidation: what is the amount that will be returned to you?
According to article 152 of the General Law of the Financial System, the deposits of the Caja Raíz in liquidation are protected up to the maximum amount of coverage, which is equivalent to S/123,920 per person.
In the case of savings and fixed-term deposits that were made in foreign currency, the coverage will be paid in soles and the accounting rate of the day prior to the intervention of the Caja Raíz published by the SBS on its website (S /3,695)
On the other hand, natural persons and companies that maintain loans or other obligations with Caja Raíz must continue making their payments in the accounts that this financial entity maintains at Banco de Crédito del Perú, BBVA, Scotiabank and Banco de la Nación.

According to information from the SBS, the list of people who are covered by the Deposit Insurance Fund (FSD) will be updated as the information gathering process progresses.
“If a depositor is not on this list, they must wait to try in the following days, when the new lists are published. The SBS will timely communicate the update of the list of depositors”, they detailed.
