MVCS will return savings to families scammed by Marka Group

As a result of the corruption case involving the businesswoman Sada Goray (Marka Group construction company) and some officials of the Mivivienda Fund, the head of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS), Hania Perez de Cuellarguaranteed that the contributions of families affected by not receiving their home will be recognized despite their contributions.

“We are concerned about these families who have been defrauded by what has happened and that is why the initiative was taken to contact those families who had been contributing, so that they would stop contributing to the savings accounts that had been opened. . We are already in talks with the families of Lima Bonita, because the other trusts did not manage to advance further and that has already expired,” said the official during the relaunch of the Mivivienda Fund.

Thus, the solution proposed by his portfolio would be to recognize the savings of families and offer them the alternative of moving to a real estate project under development or close to execution.

“The Mivivienda Fund is going to guarantee all the contributions made by these families. We are working through a rigorous registration of who these families are and how much they have contributed,” Perez de Cuellar added.

In addition, he said that citizens will have to send proof of contribution so that the amounts and numbers of families to help can be estimated. Without further ado, the official stressed that the project of the Sada Goray construction company took place in an “illegal space” and will not continue to be built on this basis.
