With the publication of the first list, today began the process of returning deposits to savers of the Rural Savings and Credit Fund Raíz (CRAC Raíz) in liquidation, which are covered by the Deposit Insurance Fund (FSD), through the agencies of Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP).
Depositors will be able to consult the list through the institutional portal of the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS). This first list includes 26,453 depositors with savings accounts and term deposits.
All the users that are included in this first list will be able to approach the BCP agencies, presenting only their ID. This return is not subject to any commission or cost, nor is it necessary to hire the services of processors. The process is absolutely free.
What if I’m not on the first list?
This first payment includes natural persons who only have savings and fixed-term deposits, that do not have joint accounts or debts with CRAC Raíz, and that are fully identified by the entity.
Natural persons who maintain joint accounts, compensation for time of service (CTS) or debts with CRAC Raíz will be included in the next lists.
The list will be updated as the information gathering process progresses. If a depositor is not on this list, they must wait to try in the following days, when the new listings are published. The SBS will communicate the update of the lists.
The deposits of the CRAC Raíz in liquidation are protected, in accordance with the provisions of article No. 152 of the General Law of the Financial System, up to a maximum amount of S/123,920.
In the case of natural and legal persons that maintain loans or other obligations with the CRAC Raíz, it is recalled that these they will be able to continue making their payments in the accounts that this financial entity maintains at the Banco de Crédito del Perú, Banco BBVA, Scotiabank and Banco de la Nación.
