Executive evaluates incorporating fertilizers to the Fuel Stabilization Fund

Given the prolongation of the high prices of fertilizers, the Executive evaluates the inclusion of these agricultural inputs to the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPC), according to the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Development (Midagri), Victor Maita.

“Today we are also evaluating (in the Government) that fertilizers be incorporated into the Fund for Stabilization of Fuel Prices, and that We have been discussing it with the leaders of the peasant rounds, because this increase (in fertilizers) seems to be going to last and we have to guarantee the 2021-2022 agricultural season″ He stated during the National Congress of Peasant Rounds.

Maita reminded the agricultural delegations that the Government approved a DU to allocate S / 250 million to grant an economic subsidy of up to S / 1,300 to agricultural producers, in order to reduce the effects of the rise in fertilizers.

In addition, he reiterated that within the Second Agrarian Reform they will guarantee water security and promote the sowing and harvesting of water, the construction of dams, dams, technified irrigation systems, micro reservoirs and other actions to promote the activities of small producers.
