Ecuadorians prepare to live the holiday for the First Cry of Independence, which is celebrated every August 10; but on this occasion, in accordance with the law on holidays, it is moved to Friday, August 11, to combine Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13.

During those three days, according to the Association of Private Banks of Ecuador (Assobanca), the provision of financial services will be guaranteed through several of its channels, such as services in certain banking agencies with extended working hours, especially those located in shopping centers.

Asobanca recommended that clients of the financial system consult with the offices that will attend with delayed working hours on the official channels of each entity, such as the website and social networks.

According to the report, banking transactions of individuals and companies reached 929 million in 2022. Of the total, 49.1%, or 456 million, were made through digital channels, 63.3% (177 million) more than in 2021 and 336.1 % more than in 2019 before the pandemic.

Asobanca recommends citizens to opt for these channels because they are fast and secure for performing bank transactions 24 hours a day.
