The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) and the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) have announced, through the National Agricultural Survey (ENA 2022), that the 75.6% of the producers in the country own at least one of the plots that make up their agricultural unit.
In this sense, only 35.5% of agricultural producers have a property title and 19.9% have a property title registered with the National Superintendence of Public Registries (Sunarp) in at least one of their plots.
In the same way, the percentage of producers that are part of an organization such as cooperatives, associations, among others is only 6.7%. In detail, according to the regions, the associates are distributed as follows: jungle with 12.9%, coast with 7.3% and mountains with 4.9%.
It should be noted that, by 2022, there was a significant increase in access to agricultural market information by producers. Thus, 80.4% was reached. This figure represents the highest level since 2014, when it had only reached 27.2%.
On the other hand, among all the producers who applied for some type of credit, it was highlighted that 91.9% of those who had a property title managed to access said loan. This news points to the key role that land titles play in access to financing and reflects an encouraging outlook for the economic development of farmers.
